Download the Updated Copy of Your Team from OBBLM
Before each league game you play you’ll need to download an updated copy of your team from OBBLM. The reason for this is because all of your level increases, SPP tracking, injury effects, purchases, etc. are handled by OBBLM instead of the Blood Bowl game itself. If you don’t download your updated team from OBBLM then none of those changes are going to reflect in-game, and you’ll be playing with an old version of your team instead, ruining all the best parts of league play! Before you play your very first game you will need to goto StuntyLeeg.com and access OBBLM. Make sure that BASH is selected as your league in the “Home” section of the page. From there goto Coach’s Corner, and click on your team. This will bring you to your team page which will look similar to the screen shot to the right. In the menu beneath the team roster hover your mouse over the “Roster” button. A drop down menu will appear. In this menu click “Cyanide-DB”. You will need to save the file in the Teams folder for the Blood Bowl game. The location of this folder depends on if you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.
XP: My Documents\BloodBowlLegendary\Saves\Teams
Vista/Windows 7: Documents\BloodBowlLegendary\Saves\Teams
If you are playing on the same computer that you created the team on, and you didn’t delete the team from the Teams folder, then you will be pr0mpted to overwrite your old copy. This usually means you’re saving the file in the right place. Overwrite the old copy of the file. Your next step would be to launch the Blood Bowl game and play a game against your opponent via Hotseat, Direct IP, LAN, or Hamachi game. Look for the individual guides for each method to see how to create a game for each method.
Due to limitations with OBBLM teams do not yet have their in game logos and colors saved in the team file. If you would like to have these available you are allowed to use the Blood Bowl game to edit your team after download only for the purpose of setting colors and logos. Changing anything else will cause errors in the reporting. (Your team won’t match the version on file with OBBLM when the results are uploaded). Any team found making changes with the edit tool beyond colors and logos will have their most valuable player executed as a fine and/or their treasuries emptied.
Report the Results of Your Match to OBBLM
After another intense game of Blood Bowl the match is over, the pitch is empty, and the dead are being buried. But there’s still one more step that has to be done before the coaches can go home. The match needs to be reported to OBBLM. This is done by uploaded the Match Report file and Reply in the form of a zip file. Only the winner of a match can report it. In the case of a draw either coach may report the match. The Match Report file contains the results of the match and uploading it allows OBBLM to update teams with the results of the match. The Replay contains additional information and a recording of the match. The Match Report is actually a file named “MatchReport.sqlite”. You may or may not see the .sqlite part depending on how you have windows set up to show file names. This file is created by the Blood Bowl game each time a game is played, multi-player or one-player, and it overwrites the Match Report for the match before it each time. That means that this file needs to be uploaded right away, otherwise if both coaches play another game without uploading the match report the results of their match will be lost!
To report the match the reporting coach must create a zip file that contains the replay and the MatchReport.sqlite file. The Replay is the replay for the match you just played, and it will have a name similar to, “Replay_” followed by the date and some other numbers. The replay you will want for reporting the match is always the most recently created replay file. Depending on which version of windows you can find the matchreport.sqlite and replay in a different location.
MatchReport.sqlite
XP: My Documents\BloodBowlLegendary\
Vista/Windows 7: Documents\BloodBowlLegendary\
Replay
XP: My Documents\BloodBowlLegendary\Saves\Replays\
Vista/Windows 7: Documents\BloodBowlLegendary\Saves\Replays\
A zip file is a file that contains other files compressed inside it. You need to zip the two files together so they can both be sent to OBBLM and used to report the same match. The easiest way to do this is to browse to the BloodBowl where the matchreport.sqlite file is located, right click in an empty area of the window where files are shown, goto new, and create a new zip file. The exact steps will vary depending on which version of windows you use, and if you have WinZip or WinRAR installed on the computer. If you do have WinRAR or WinZip installed with explorer extensions enabled it’s even easier to do since you can just right-click matchreport.sqlite and click “Add to Archive” or “Add to Zip” and it will create a zip file and add the matchreport.sqlite, all you need to do is then add the replay to the newly created zip file.
Once you have zipped up the matchreport.sqlite and replay your next step is to upload them to OBBLM. To do this goto www.stuntyleeg.com. At the top goto the plugins menu and pick “Client Match Report Upload” from the dropdown menu. From here you need to click “Browse” or “Choose File” and select the zip file you just created and then click ok.
If you are reporting a match that did not end in a draw, then as the winning coach you have one last choice to make. As the winning coach you have the option to re-roll your winnings roll if it comes up less than what you’d like. (Remember, winnings are determined by a 1d6 roll.) In OBBLM, instead of rolling winnings and then deciding if you’d like to reroll it you tell OBBLM to reroll your winnings if they’re below a certain threshold ahead of time. To do this in OBBLM you need to pick a number in the drop down box for “Reroll winnings if less than:” This number defaults to 2, so that it always rerolls a winnings roll of 1, the lowest result you can get. Selecting “6″ in this box would make OBBLM reroll a winnings result of 1-5. Depending on how risky you want to be, pick the number you’d like in this drop down.
Then make sure the current BASH season is selected in the dropdown box to the right and click “Send File” That’s it!
Congratulations! Your match has been recorded!
